What We Did
This ground-breaking project run by Green Lane School, works extensively with children that have difficulty engaging through speech. This in turn severely affects their education attainment and social development. Invariably, they require extensive one-to-one therapy over several months in order to overcome the issues associated with speech. The Speech Therapy Centre is designed within a grade II listed building and is designed to be engaging, relaxing and friendly. Using a series of ‘interlocking’ spaces, users are able to find intimate zones within broader spaces. With an amphitheatre, balconies and raised terraces the design is carefully designed around the needs of the child.
