What We Did
This grade II listed mill building is at serious risk of becoming entirely derelict. The site is well positioned with good access to road networks and had a very successful Sunday market in the grounds. The proposal seeks to capitalise on the footfall of the markets, by introducing a series of social enterprise operators. Using workshop spaces, disadvantaged participants could create items to sell at the market and on an e-commerce platform. This community approach to entrepreneurial activity is to reinforce the site as a market destination, improve commercial activity and social mobility.
